How I love shooting at Gedney Farm! It’s the perfect balance of New England charm and elegance. Plus no matter the weather, the options allow guests to enjoy the rustic barn or the beauty of the property nestled here in the Berkshire Mountains.
As much as I enjoy Gedney my joy was doubled because I adored working with Ari & Oren so much. I felt that way right from their engagement session taken earlier this year and those feelings certainly carried through to their wedding. I am crazy about the way they look at each other. There is such a palpable strength in their love and once I met their families, I could see that the strength was deep rooted in faith and strong family bonds.
After their first look and pictures with family and bridal party, a Tisch and Bedekin followed. Oren, his groomsmen, and a a few family and friends gathered in the top floor of the barn while Ari enjoyed the rest of the guests outside in the courtyard. Then Oren was paraded down to Ari to unveil her and the smiles all around could not have been any brighter. They then returned to the lodge with a very small gathering of people for the Ketubah signing. It felt so special to witness all of these meaningful rituals.
Their ceremony was gorgeous and expertly officiated by Ramie Arian. I was so touched by the song that Ari’s dad, Douglas sang during the ceremony. It was so personal, and delivered so beautifully that I had to wipe the tears from my eyes and I know there were many just like me.
The celebrations certainly did not end there, a party in the dinner tent with wonderful speeches and then over to the barn for dancing. The band, “Around Town” kept this group grooving ALL NIGHT. Ari and Oren’s guests also loved getting into the Berkshire Photo Booth with friends and family to capture instant souvenirs of this incredible night!
